The story of Ralph and Forest begins in 2021 with a love for candles, a desire to create a more sustainable lifestyle, and an idea we couldn’t ignore.
Hi, we are Jess and Rory, the founders of Ralph and Forest. As a family, we have a strong ethos for sustainable living, so this was central to our brainstorming! We envisioned creating a home fragrance and homeware brand with the highest quality products, offering a healthier alternative not only for us, but for the environment too! We were eager to create natural candles that burned clean, without sacrificing on the luxurious scent throw, because this is exactly what we were searching for ourselves.
When we thought about what we wanted people to associate our brand with, the words simple, cosy, homely and heartwarming instantly came to mind.
We wanted our products to encapsulate that feeling you get when you are tucked up on the sofa, warm and comfy, enjoying the sweet smell of your favourite candle burning and you think to yourself, “there really is no place like home!”.
So with a few simple, exciting ideas and my maternity leave fast approaching we thought “why the heck not!”. We made it our mission to source the finest materials to bring you the most beautiful, handmade collections, and after lots of research, trials and ‘oops’ moments, Ralph and Forest was born!

Carefully hand-crafted in house (literally, in our house) we ensure that each candle at Ralph and Forest is made with you in mind. From wicking and pouring to labelling and packaging, we ensure that all of our products are of the highest quality and handled with the utmost care.
INSPIRED BY NATURE.
Each of our collections are ethically handcrafted with the highest of care.
Our candles are hand poured using pure organic coconut & soy wax from our little home in East Yorkshire. Our cushions, throws and other home furnishings are handcrafted by talented artisans from the UK, Europe, Africa, India, and South East Asia and are made from the finest sustainable natural materials.

The name.
Our core values are clear - sustainable, quality, and comfort.
Ralph and Forest was created to provide you with the finest quality products, to inspire everyday living, put a smile on your face and make you feel at home. It was important that our brand name made us feel that way too!
Initially, we named the brand Ralph Home after our Cockapoo pooch, however since then we have been blessed with a human son, who we named Forrest. We took inspiration from both our babies, and rebranded our business in February 2023, to Ralph and Forest! We decided to drop an R, in Forrest, for letter spacing purposes, but we think this works great and we absolutely love our new name.
Our house really wouldn't be a home without Ralph or Forrest, so deciding to name our brand Ralph & Forest was perfect. Our products are natural, top quality and give you that cosy, heartwarming feeling, exactly like our babies.

We promise you that we will continue to source materials that are environmentally friendly, natural and sustainable. Our aim is always to provide products that are not only kinder to the planet but kinder to you.
